It's been a long time coming. The fight against racism, sexism. My neighbor Lou, Jr offered my condolences. He said, maybe soon a woman will get to be the president. I told him I have no doubt that a woman can lead a nation. Indira Ghandi. Queen Victoria. Katherine the Great. When a woman has the best ideas, I'll get behind her. Obama had more courage than Clinton, and spoke out against the Iraq War. She just didn't have the moral fiber. I would have gotten behind Dennis Kucinich, and hope he gets some sort of cabinet post, perhaps the Captain of the Moral Compass. I'm weary of fighting the good fight. The 2004 election almost killed Frank Barbaro, who came out of retirement, to unseat the Bushite in NYs 13th Congressional District. But Fossella shot himself in the foot. God don't like ugly. I've done ugly things, and have been messed up on a lot of levels. But I have to look back to my participation in trying to guide society. Recycling. Living Green. Living simply so that others may simply live. Learning to be an independent female, able to fend for myself, instead of caving into a neurotic oppressive relationship. Getting sober. Writing. Using public transportation. Washing clothes by hand. Living with a partner would be lovely, but only in a partnership, not a hostage situation. Glenn Kidd sent me lyrics that he said were channeled from John Lennon. Glenn is a professional medium. He knew we were doing a 2 man show called "Channeling John Lennon", in which John speaks to me and my cousin Pete. I was spending my holiday time right up into the Inauguration in a sort of listless funk. I was kind of sad that a relationship that I wanted to have, looked like it wouldn't have a chance to grow. I was feeling dumped on, used, etc. Then Glenn sent these lyrics. (he, of course owns the copywrite, cause Yoko doesn't need it and marriage ends in this world, and it's rights to intellectual property) Right from outer space. Dig these words: Shangri-La by Glenn Kidd c2005 etherial music BMI V1. it's fear of the unknown that will get you
get you every time
You can play the victim or the hero in your own mind
There are no accidents or coincidence. Everyone has a purpose
CHorus: Welcome to Shangri La. You finally have arrived
Welcome to shangri-La Nice to see you have survived
V2. What seems like empty meaning always has endless teaching
They can point the way and leave sign posts for all of us to see
That all roads lead us home
How many wake up calls do we really need?
Repeat the chorus.
I felt it was a note from John. Thanks beloved. I hope you've past alcohol and addiction. I hope you can affect positivity.
It was like, you've been through the gauntlet. You've experienced the pains and have not fallen dead, morose and sullen.. You've been processing your experiences and have been growing as a spirit. Your gift is your ability to write. You still have work to do. Like working to heal the neurosis that you helped implant in your son. You need to help him. Ask God. Ask Jesus. He will make a way, where there is no way. Welcome to Shangri La.
